Božo Marijančić was born on Christmas, December 25, 1944. in Zagreb, Croatia.
After he completed the first two years of high school, he transferred to the school for graphic design were he graduated as a graphic designer. In his school days he drew sketches for publication Polet and daily newspaper Vecernji list. He also worked with art photography and was a member of Photoclub Zagreb.
In 1970 he moved to Switzerland where he painted and studied in the "Neue Kunstschule Zurich” majoring in graphic design. In those years he was interested in cartoon production, so he joined the "Kinoklub Zurich". For his work,  short cartoon movie he was awarded with the bronze medal on the "Schweizerische National-Wettbewerb" in Neuchâtelu 1974, and in 1980. he received silver medal on the "Schweizerische Kurzfilm-Wettbewerb" in Zug.
As freelance writer of many ex Yugoslavian’s newspapers he wrote critics and informational articles on many cultural happenings in Switzerland. He also wrote for several regional papers in Switzerland.
His Pictures and drawings were exhibited on various exhibitions in Switzerland, Germany and in Croatia.
He was the president of artist association EHO for the three mandates and in 1992. he initiated the founding of the Croatian painter group named KRAVATA with the headquarters in Zurich' where he was a president for nine years, until he returned to Croatia in 2001.
Božo Marijančić has been enlisted in the biographic lexicon of Swiss art, (publisher: Schweizerisches Institut für Kunstwissenschaft).
Since 2001. and after the thirty-one years of exile he now lives again in his native Zagreb.
