RESTAURATION OF PEUGEOT 404
Peugeot 404 is vehicle
that I was buy in very bad condition by the free adds paper, but
in the relation with condition, he was maybe little bit expensive.
Those bad condition means that were question will he look like
anything ever and will he run ever again. To transport him to
my garage I was in situation to must to put him and his parts
in my van and in few times transport him in his new home. Apart
from he was in parts he was damage throw left side, and that was
bothering me little bit because I'm not a plumber and in mechanism
I have understanding in amateur level. Alas I don't have fotodokumentation
from the beginning of restoration, but first shoot describe my
Peugeot after some time that I worked on him (not in running condition,
but on heap) just to see where can I start to work.
After putting him in the
parts again, I was start to try to put the engine in correct running
condition. This part of the job didn't need too much work on engine
exempt changing the distributor cap, changing all wires and conductors,
repairing the starter, servicing carburetor, replacing contact
set, replacing all gaskets, and breaking system was totally destroyed.
In the vehicle I was put all original parts, and unoriginal parts
I was replaced with original exempt steering wheel that is from
newer model. That was not too simple because for French vehicle
I can not find to many parts...
