Tigers are the most enigmatic creatures left on this earth yet they are now in very real danger of disappearing forever. It is thought that there is anything between 4600 and 7000 Tigers surviving in the world today, depending on which source you would believe. Tigers live in rainforests, mangroves and grassy areas near rivers. It is vital that they have cover, water and enough sustainable prey in order to stay alive. Therefore, if we are to save the Tiger from extinction we must protect all of those things too.

Today Tigers still survive in countries such as Eastern Russia, Vietnam, Indonesia, Cambodia and India - by the skin of their teeth. Man has had a devastating effect upon the Tiger. We must now fight to undo the damage and do whatever it takes to protect this beautiful and amazing creature before it is too late...

The cry "Save the Tiger" was first heard in 1969. Almost 30 years later, the tiger's future is still not secure, though not for want of trying. Eliminating the threats to this endangered species has proven to be like putting out a forest fire: As flames are doused in one spot, sparks begin to fly in another.
