It's called Affiliate Programs and it's a much better way of making money than Paid-to-surf Programs. First, you don't have to put up with your sponsors' ads and you're fully independent. Second, you don't need to have the whole pyramid of referrals under you to make some money.

Furthermore, you don't need to have your own domain (although it a good idea to have one), you can use some of the free webspace services , and you definitely don't have to be USA or Canada resident to participate and receive your checks.
