Travelling by bus

Rijeka (20km) has good connections with bigger cities in Croatia and Europe by Autotrans bus links .

From Trieste the bus link operates to Opatija (Abbazia) and Rijeka ( Fiume ) by Autotrans and Saita.

Travelling by train

The two closest railway stations are Opatija-Matulji (cca 10 km) and Rijeka (cca 20 km).

How to get around

Although you will find very useful to have your own car while you are staying at the house, you can manage equally well without one.

The local bus No 36 (linija 36) operates about nine times per day from the centre of Lovran and stops near the house.

The bus No 32 (linija 32) connects Lovran to Opatija and Rijeka , two largest cities in the Bay.

Taxis (e.g. Hallo Taxi) are also affordable but we would advise you to ask for the price beforehand.

You may also consider using your bike (mountain bike) or walking up and down the hill for a greener alternative.

It is also possible to rent a car in Opatija (10km).
