On the north-east side of the island of Brac in Middle Dalmatia, is a massive bay, which comprises a number of larger and smaller coves. The Povaljska luka is the most large cove on east. Povlja has stood since Roman times, in the necklace of the island's settlements, and has a long and rich history imprinted with a cultural and historical heritage that ranges from ancient times to the present day.

Accommodation is available at the refurbished Galeb-Johnathan Hotel (175 rooms) and the apartment complex "Punta" (50 suites) - which has a terraced restaurant and a small disco. Povlja also offers a large variety of private accommodation with over 700 beds in a variety of quality apartments and rooms with suite bathrooms. There is also a store, post office, ambulance service, restaurant, pizza restaurant, and a few snack-bars. It is possible to visit cost towns like Makarska, Baska Voda and others.

Hospitality of the people, domestic food and good vine ensure the pleasant stay.

Apartments Villa Sofija are located in the place called Punta (see picture), 500 m from Povlja by road.

Good climate and lower prices recommend September and October even more attractive then summer months.

Category of the three apartments is 3 stars.

The apartments (43 m2 each) are situated in the first line of houses by the sea, just near the beach. Each apartment has 2 bedrooms (4+1 bed), kitchen, living room and bathroom, with the balcony that looks at the sea.

The other advantages are TV and possibility of surfboard rent.
