During your stay in Sharanagati you can visit many remarkable places not far from Jadranovo.

First of all you have to visit National Park 'Plitvicka Jezera'. The National Park Plitvicka jezera (Plitvice Lakes) is one of the most beautiful natural values in Europe. In a valley between high forested mountains lie, one below another, sixteen beautiful lakes of crystal blue-green colour.

Due to their unique evolution and beauty, in 1979 the Plitvice Lakes were entered in the UNESCO Register of World Natural Heritage.

Gorski Kotar is one of the most unspoilt natural forest environments in Europe. Our forests provide habitat for a vast variety of fauna and flora including some rare mammal species extinct in most other parts of the world. In Gorski Kotar it is still possible to see wolves, brown bear, wild boar and lynx roaming freely. The woodlands are alive with sounds of a wide diversity of birds. The evergreen and deciduous forests are lush with a treasure trove of plant life.
Whether you are a winter sports enthusiast, hunter, fisherman, hiker, canoeist, birdwatcher or simply a nature lover wanting to escape the rigours of city life - Gorski Kotar has something for everyone!

Only eight kms. away from Jadranovo there is Crikvenica, the pearl of the Adriatic tourism. Concerts, folklore performances and festivities of all kind are awaiting you here, and above all naturally, dancing in the evenings under the stars.

Being on the seaside, swimming should be the most popular sports in Crikvenica. And so it is together with surfing and sailing. But there are some who prefer to touch the ball and for those the choice is large. Outdoors sports are practiced throughout the year owing to the very mild climate.

We also recommend you to make a tour of Adriatic islands like Krk (just opposite of Jadranovo), Rab, Pag, Cres and Losinj with hydrofoil boat.

Only 35 kms. away there is Rijeka. It does not matter whether you discover the rich history while walking along the city's promenade, or you get carried away by the energy of a contemporary festival. Rijeka is the pulsating heart of the Kvarner region being its trade, business, university and cultural center.

You can visit the fortress Tarsatica which is dated from the 7th century (Roman Empire), then the very centre of Rijeka which is itself cultural heritage. There you can dicover the replica of famous Rake Tower in Pisa or magnificent building of National Theatre 'Ivan Zajc'.

You can come here by plane, or you may chose to arrive by boat, or you may simply go by car, but you can take one thing for granted: you will encounter fascinating traditions, attitudes and atmosphere to which there are no limits.

In the very town of Jadranovo every Saturday during July and August, you can experience the atmosphere of Ribarska Noc (Fisherman's Night). From time to time there are some other festivities like the Day of St. Jacob (on 25th of July), etc.
