About FIVE DELUXE v1.0

Poker is one of the most popular card games of the world. Players and casinos created many variations of this game. One of the most popular variants in casinos is video poker for one player vs machine.

"Five Deluxe" is a simulation of casino's video game. The game includes two types of poker game. One is called "Standard" or classic, ussualy named Jecks and Better and other is called "Five Deluxe".

In game type "Five Deluxe" there are two Jokers (red and black) included. Joker replaces any card and in doubling mode it multiplies payments with factor 4. Sevens are important cards in doubling mode, too. "Seven" card multiply payments with factor 3.

Game Type "Standard" is a game with 52 cards (without Jokers). In doubling mode Sevens are excluded. Five deluxe or Five of a kind is impossible.

Doubling mode gives a chance to multiply payments. Player must guess a card between small and high cards or red and black cards. He can guess only eleven cards in one doubling turn.

2. How to play

When player starts a game or choses New game he gets 100 Credits.

Before dealing, player can chose the bet (1-40 Credits)

After first dealing, player must decide which of the 5 cards to hold or discard. (Clicking on the card or button on the bottom of each card). After second dealing, player draws replacements for the discarded cards.

The player wins if he gets two Jacks or better. Table of winning on the right explains how the payment is multiplied with bet amount.

When player wins, he can double payments guessing red or black cards or small (A, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6) or big (9, 8, 10, J, Q, K) cards. If player plays Five of a Kind Poker and he gets seven, payment will be multiplied with 3, or joker with 4.

If player thinks that he had earned big money, he can choose Pay-off (Game/Pay-off) and enter his name in High-Score List (Score/View).

3. Introducing to Five Deluxe

3.1. Menu Description

Game/New

Player stops an old game and he starts a new game. If a score is better than others in the high score list player can enter his name. Player gets 100 credits for starting a new game.

Game/Pay-Off

Player can pay-off his virtual earning and enter his name in the high score list.

Game/Statistics

Small statistics data about turning or winning. With option On the Top Checked, statistics window will be on the top of all other windows.

Game/Options

A few configurable options are in that window:

a) If Five of a Kind Game is checked, poker with 54 cards (2 jokers) starts, in doubling mode sevens multiply payments with 3 and jokers with 4. In other case poker with 52 cards starts, without jokers and sevens in doubling mode.
b) Autohold will automatically hold winning cards.
c) When Colors are checked, player guesses red or black cards in doubling mode.
d) Animation is a way of showing cards on the table. It’s enabling Speed, too.
e) Speed determines a speed of showing cards.
f) Sound, enabling or disabling.

Game/Exit

End of game and return to OS.

Score

Score lists are funny for all players and they may create some type of a competition mode for all players. Five Deluxe can export list which can be distributed to other players.

Score/View

Because of two type of games (Five Deluxe and Standard), there are two types of scoring.

In the score table there is a hundred places for each type of game. When a player enters his score in the list, he can enter his name and his country.

Score/Hall of Gamblers

This list shows ten the best players ever (for both types of games).

Score/Export

Create some type of a Five Deluxe List file with information about winners.

Score/Import

Exported list can be imported (nested) in other Five Deluxe and in that way changes and distributes a score lists.

3.2. Player Screen

Player can see three boxes on his "Five Deluxe Screen". The top box has information about credits and winnings. Right box says about bets and payments. Third box is reserved for cards and buttons.

4. Using other cards

You can play with your own designed cards. How?
a) Create a new folder in folder where game is installed and give it a name Cards.
b) Create another folder in the Cards folder and name it.
c) Put bmp files to new created folder.
d) Your cards must be saved as one card in one bmp file. Dimension of card must be 71x96 pixels.
e) Name cards as in table!

Example: if Five Deluxe installed in folder c:\Program Files\Five Deluxe

When you'll create Folder Cards and thematical folder Future, your path should be: c:\Program Files\Five Deluxe\Cards\Future. Contents of folder Future is bmp files from 1 to 55 (1.bmp, 2.bmp ... 55.bmp).
