Koraljka Polaček painter and art
teacher Baška Paintings 1995
- 2006
Koraljka
has been exhibiting her paintings in the atelier in Baška (Mediterranean
Island of Krk) from 1995, thus following the long art tradition of her family
- great-grandmother Katarina Pezer and grandfather Slavko Marić. In the
60s her great-grandmother Mrs Katarina Pezer (1905-1997) was running a
ceramic atelier here, the only of its kind in the whole of Kvarner. She created
and displayed her works in the atelier until 1970. The
academic painter Slavko Marić (1921-1995) "discovered" the
landscape of the Krk island in early 60s and stayed closely attached to it
till the end of his life and artistic work. He has created and displayed his
works in this atelier from 1980 to 1990. Koraljka
exhibited her oil-paintings from Baška in the atelier in Baška between 1995
and 2003, also at the independent exhibitions in Krk and Split 1997, in Pula
2000 and in Europe House Zagreb in 2003. Also, Baška Paintings were exhibited at TOŠ
Gallery, Punat, in 2006. Please choose the link: ''Searching for the pure, authentic
